Movement

Sometimes, pin-sharp focus isn't needed to tell the story.

Lost Lagoon is a wonderful place to wander. A gentle flat path on the edge of Stanley Park, surrounded by woodland and in the centre, a sizeable body of water. It's a great place to walk or run and sometimes, somewhere to find inspiration.

It started out as a standard photo walk,  all around I was noticing movement, so it's what I set out to capture. However, I then changed creative direction and chose to shoot a short series using intentional camera movement.  I really enjoyed the challenge of storytelling through what some might see as blurred, imperfect images. Yet stop and consider this. We’re surrounded by ‘perfect’ social media lives and images. Movement is not necessarily perfection, it is the reality of our days as we travel from place to place. Where are you heading?
