I've launched a new personal project.
I have an interest in humans, what makes us tick, what drives our behaviours, and why we sometimes work against our own best interests.
I wanted to capture moments when, despite wanting to mask our emotions and feelings, we were not able to completely hide what was happening in our heads. A mask was in place, yet it was ineffective. Our true self at that moment was visible; distorted maybe but still giving away our true state of mind and heart.
This project explores from the perspective of an ineffective mask the different masks that people wear in the course of a day that acts as a social disguise and helps them to get through a variety of situations.
What emotional masks do you wear?
What are you concealing?
- Anger
- Anxiety
- Disgust
- Embarrassment
- Fear
- Frustration
- Sadness
How do masks help you in your life?
